Why start with an assessment?
Most of us have a rough sense of how we work with people who are different from us.
The CQ Pro Assessment replaces that rough sense with a clear picture — backed by more than 20 years of academic research and over 1,000 peer-reviewed studies across 150+ countries.
It measures two things:
Your Cultural Intelligence (CQ)
How well you notice cultural differences, make sense of unfamiliar situations, and adapt your behaviour to work effectively with others.
Your Behavioural Preferences
How you naturally prefer to communicate, make decisions, manage time, relate to authority, follow structure, and work with others.
Together, they show you not just how you adapt, but why you behave the way you do — across cultures, generations, professions, and perspectives.
What you get
A 15–20 minute online assessment, delivered through the Cultural Intelligence Center's secure platform. Your results are confidential and available immediately.
A digital report with clear explanations of your results, your strengths and growth areas, and practical suggestions for development. This is more than a score — it's a working document you'll return to.
Included with your assessment, on the same platform: CQ® Starter (a 10-minute introduction to Cultural Intelligence) and Applying CQ®: Using CQ® in Everyday Life (a one-hour course on putting CQ to work — at work, at home, anywhere). Complete them at your own pace, whenever suits you.
Numbers on a page only take you so far. In a private 1-to-1 session with a Certified CQ Facilitator, you'll walk through what your results mean in your context — your team, your role, your relationships — and leave with one or two concrete things to work on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I have a particular situation in mind when I take the assessment?
Yes, it helps. Before you begin, decide where you most want to use your CQ: leading a culturally diverse or multi-generational team, an overseas assignment, a study or internship abroad, or working with clients whose expectations differ from yours. Answering with that context in mind makes your results more specific and honest, and gives your debrief a real situation to work with rather than scores in the abstract.
How long does the assessment take?
About 15–20 minutes, online, at your own pace.
Is my data confidential?
Yes. The assessment runs on the Cultural Intelligence Center’s secure platform, and results are shared only with you and your debrief facilitator.
Can I take the assessment without the debrief?
The debrief is where the assessment becomes useful. It’s how scores become a plan, which is why we offer them together. If you have a specific need, write to us at hello@morninglab.co.
Do I need to complete the e-learning modules before my debrief?
No, but we recommend the 10-minute CQ® Starter module beforehand so the language of CQ feels familiar. Applying CQ® works best after the debrief, when you’re ready to practise your development areas.
Can I retake the assessment later?
Yes. Many people retake it after a period of deliberate practice to track how their CQ has developed. Ask us during your debrief.
Do you offer this for teams?
Yes. Group assessments, team debriefs, and workshops are all available.
